Letter from Newly Elected WIHC President!
Dear OJR WIHC Families,
I’m Alex Weirich, your newly elected Club President as of Tuesday, June 2nd. I am eager to welcome you all to the 2026-27 Wildcat Season!
Included in this letter are several important items and links regarding:
• Season Registration
• Summer Clinics
• Uniform ordering
Before we jump into next season’s updates, I’d like to recognize two individuals who have been instrumental in building this club into one of the top programs in scholastic hockey.
I would like to begin by acknowledging Dave Burnheimer. Though he will continue his work behind the HS bench next season, Dave has also provided exceptional service as both Club VP and, most recently, Club President. His dedication, leadership, and countless contributions have been vital to the strength and success of our program.
I would also like to recognize Chuck Gorman, co-founder of the club in 2010 and a coach at every level through 2025. Chuck’s unwavering commitment, leadership, and passion have profoundly shaped the Wildcats over the past 15 years. We are fortunate that he will remain a trusted resource as the club continues to grow.
Now, onto some important information for the upcoming season.
Season Registration
Please register as soon as possible for the upcoming season. Early registration helps with team planning, uniform ordering, and preparation for our summer clinics. Summer Clinics are free for players registered for the 2026-27 season. Go to 26-27′ OJR Wildcat Registration for more information. Additionally, we are pleased to bring the girls program back under WIHC and are looking to grow the program specifically
at the younger levels. This includes pushing to start MS & ES girls ONLY teams.
Summer Clinics
We’re excited to introduce our first-ever Elementary and Middle School Summer Clinics at Hatfield Ice Arena. While these clinics are not mandatory, they’re a great opportunity for players to get back on the ice together for conditioning and skill work.
HS has clinics on July 2nd at 10AM and 12:30 PM (No sign up required, players who were not in OJR program last year should reach out to Coach Hartman: frhartman@yahoo.com.
Middle School Clinic: June 30th at 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM
Elementary Clinic: July 1 at 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM
Players should attend based on their 2026–27 grade level and are welcome to participate in both ice sessions, with off-ice activities scheduled in between. If your player plans to attend one or both sessions, please register using the OJR Summer Clinic Sign Up.
Important Notes
• Registered 2026–27 players attend free of charge.
• Prospective or non-registered players are welcome to attend for $10 per session.
• All players must register for the sessions they plan to attend.
Uniform Ordering
The club is proud to introduce our new 2026–27 Middle School and High School white jerseys. Specific details about the white jersey are shown below (refer to uniform website for other jersey information):
Middle School:
• The previous white “W” jersey is being phased out.
• Returning middle school players who already own the white “W” jersey are not required to purchase the new jersey.
• New middle school players should purchase the new sublimated white jersey available in the team store.
High School Boys:
• All 2026–27 high school boy’s players will receive the new white stitched jersey and will be ordered separately as it will be provided to all players by the club. Additional communication for this will be sent out.
High School Girls:
• The girl’s program will continue wearing the white “W” jersey for the upcoming season.

This event remains one of our most important fundraisers and is always a great opportunity for our hockey families and supporters to come together off the ice. More details will be shared later this summer. Please note, this year’s outing will be held at Twin Ponds Golf Course.
Thank you again for your continued commitment to the OJR Wildcats Ice Hockey Club. If you know anyone interested in or currently playing hockey who is not currently part of the Wildcats family, please feel free to forward this message along. Also, we are very grateful for our club sponsors. If you’re interested in becoming a corporate sponsor, please reach out, we’re always looking for new partnerships!
