Goals and Philosophy
Our goal is to teach and develop the girls and boys of the Owen J. Roberts School District the game of hockey, something they could share with their fellow students. While providing a safe and healthy environment for all. Opportunity for all new players and experienced players to learn the basic skills and enhance their skills through qualified coaching. In the process, helping them learn life lessons and watch them grow up from kids to young adults in the process.
- TEAMWORK: Learning to work together.
- RESPECT: Treat all Coaches, Parents and Team-Mates as you expect to be treated.
- SPORTSMANSHIP: Learn how to win with grace, lose with dignity and learn sense of fair play.
- SKILL: Learn basic skills, enhance and work hard to progress your skill as a player.
Our goal is to provide dedicated coaches who share the ideas of our club and offer training to develop our players to his/her fullest potential. All coaches are USA Hockey Certified, Safe Sport, and have child clearances. Sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play are the building blocks to being a successful club.
If you are interested in being a coach for the OJR Wildcats Ice Hockey Club, please contact OJRWildcatsHockey@gmail.com.
We are here to have fun! The kids are put first and this program is run for the kids, not for the parents.
